About Security BSides

Security BSides is a non-profit community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members. The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and time. It creates opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration. A typical Security BSides event is a full-day infosec gathering, with technical presentations and workshops, as well as CTF events, social networking, coffee and food, after-party events and other exciting activities.

Call For Papers

Call for papers is now open! Presentations can be either in form of technical talks or hands-on workshops. Although, we are open to any suggestions regarding presentations, we wish that speakers share their knowledge in one or more topics of interest, listed below. Submit your presentations until 31st of August by email to

NOTE TO VENDORS: Sales presentations/workshops for security products, will probably get rejected. Presentations should describe techniques and technologies which can be applied by everyone (not vendor-specific)!

TECHNICAL TALKS

These are standard style conference presentations. BSides Cyprus team and participants will love to hear about applied security research. While security on cutting edge technologies and newly appeared security trends are cool, we motivate speakers to talk about things they have put their hard work on. Talks about infosec in fintech sector and financial industry will surely trigger the interest of most of BSides Cyprus participants.

WORKSHOPS

These workshops should give participants hands on experience in a topic of interest We welcome a variety of formats, if you have a specific approach or format you need - include these in your submission and we can look at arranging the venue to accommodate.
